How to make this craft
-
Children start by drawing 4 things they love in the white circles and cutting them out.

2. Children glue the circles onto the hearts, then cut them out.

3. While the glue is drying, children cut out their small heart and write their name on it. They’ll then attach the heart to the end of their piece of cotton/thread.
4. When the glue is dry, the hearts can be folded in half (inwards).
5. The hearts can then be glued together. Children will line up 2 edges, add glue and press together. Repeat for 3 hearts. Take your time with this part as it can be tricky for younger kids.
6. Before the last heart is added, children will run their thread through the middle, and secure with tape. Check it won’t move with a little tug. The name heart should be at the bottom with most of the thread extending from the top of the heart. The final large heart can then be glued in place.
The finished 3D hearts are then ready to hang up and display.
