Back to school mini bundle - all about me self portrait and what I didn't do this summer
Start a new school year with this pair of fun, foldable writing activities. This mini-bundle contains two resources for the first week of school: a self-portrait all about me activity (with lots of face options), and a what I DIDN'T do this summer creative writing craft. Both are hands-on for students, and low-prep for you!
Resource 1: What I didn't do this summer writing activity
A first week of school creative writing activity that encourages students to share things they didn't do during their summer break. Not all students will have had an exciting summer or traveled to interesting places, so this inclusive activity gives every child the opportunity to participate, be creative, and share their ideas.
Students can use their imaginations to write about weird, wonderful, silly, or impossible experiences they didn't have. The open-ended format encourages creativity, sparks discussion, and helps build classroom community during the first days back to school.
