Earth's four spheres and their interactions folding activity and worksheets

Introduce or review the Earth's four spheres (biosphere, hydrosphere, geosphere, and atmosphere) by making a folding Earth that can be opened to reveal the sphere descriptions and examples inside! Students will also explore how the spheres interact with a printable worksheet.

The foldout templates

• Template 1: Students color the Earth and picture labels, arrange the images and descriptions on the template, glue, assemble, and fold.
• Template 2: Students color the Earth, write a description of each sphere, draw an example picture, cut, assemble, and fold.

The worksheet options:

• Option 1: Students check two boxes next to each of the six images to show which pair of spheres is interacting.
• Option 2: The same images as above, but students write the names of the two spheres next to each picture.
• Option 3: Four blank boxes for students to draw two spheres interacting in each.

A short reading passage outlining the four spheres is included if required.
