How to get started on TeachersPayTeachers (TPT) as a UK seller

I'm Gemma, a former museum educator and nature learning professional who started selling teaching resources online in 2019. Over the years, I've learned what works when creating resources for a US audience and have consistently ranked among the top 1% of sellers on TeachersPayTeachers.

This course is designed for teachers based in the UK who want to start selling teaching resources on TeachersPayTeachers. It's also suitable for tutors, education consultants, and other learning professionals who create educational materials.
Do you have to be from the UK?
No, but please keep in mind that some sections of this course have been designed specifically for UK participants.
What prior knowledge is needed?
This course focuses on setting up and selling on TeachersPayTeachers rather than resource design. You'll need to be comfortable creating high-quality teaching resources and confident using your preferred design software to create both your resources and listing images.

Do I need to invest anything to get started?
In addition to the course fee, you'll need a TeachersPayTeachers seller account. There are two seller membership options:
- Basic Seller: $29
- Premium Seller (recommended): $59.99 per year
To register for a seller account, you must have a PayPal account.
You'll also need software for creating your teaching resources and listing images. Canva is an excellent option, but you'll need either a Canva Free or Canva Pro account. Canva for Education cannot be used to create products for commercial sale.
How will I access the course?
Once you've enrolled, you'll receive a PDF containing links to all of the course videos, which are hosted on YouTube. Supporting resources and downloads are provided through a Google Drive folder.
How long will the course take?
The course includes approximately 75 minutes of video content divided into eight bite-sized sections. Although the videos themselves are relatively short, many include practical action steps to complete, so you're encouraged to work through the course at your own pace.
What isn't included?
This course focuses on selling on TeachersPayTeachers rather than teaching resource design. If you're already confident creating high-quality educational resources, this course will show you how to turn them into products for sale.
